This educational programme is organized by the North West Community Development Council (CDC), National Environment Agency and Holland-Bukit Panjang Town Council to create awareness of importance of Dengue/Zika prevention to students, peers, parents and residents. The objective is to make North West District a safer place by protecting residents against Dengue/Zika.
2016 started with an unusually high number of dengue cases. We have entered the traditional dengue peak season (April – October), and we are expecting the highest peak in June, which is also the month where many families travel overseas. During this period, it is crucial to ensure there’s no stagnant water in our homes. This is to prevent mosquitoes from breeding while we are away.
This educational programme provides an interactive e-learning mobile app which everyone can participate through their personal smartphones and tablets to find out how they can make the environment a safer place for their friends and family.
